This national religious denomination was already operating a sophisticated defined contribution retirement plan with over 6,000 participants spread across 800 locations when we began our conversation. The issue was that the incumbent recordkeeper was struggling to keep up with 800 separate monthly remittances with different systems and data formats. In addition, the plan sponsor was planning to implement custom target date funds in 2014 and the incumbent could not accommodate this feature.
